The third “Artist Search Program” 2018 introduces two series of works of photographer SungSoo Koo. Koo has constantly tried to expand the artistic scope of photography. First series,<Portrait of Flowers> is a collection of photographs taken by the artist using the same technique and observation as he takes human portraits. Meanwhile, <Photogenic Drawing> series exhibited inside the club building looks like a plant specimen at first glance, but it is made of plaster and paints. By extracting features from the real flowers and recreating them, the artist is maximizing the diversity and the beauty of flowers. Along with that, this exhibition offers an opportunity to think about the meaning of the creation of flowers.
