Gallery Planet is selected as an exhibition operator in the club building of Banyan Tree Club & Spa Seoul in 2018 to conduct special exhibitions for VIP customers and visitors. The first exhibition <Spring, Dreaming in the Moonlight> is a solo exhibition by Young-wook Choi, who evokes the charm of a “moon jar”. Moon jar abstractly connotes the emotions and diverse landscapes of Koreans.
Banyan Tree Hotel is located in the center of Seoul, which allows you to feel the nature through the change of the four seasons of Namsan. The moon jar painting shows the energy of spring through the subtle color and calm background. Choi’s moon jar seems simple at first glance, but it soon radiates mysterious beauty through the faintly stained colors and the cracks on the surface. We expect the viewers to feel warmth from the works of Choi, and enjoy a meaningful time for reflection.
