네트쇼 Netshow는 온라인을 플랫폼으로 하는 1년 단위의 실험적인 아트 프로젝트입니다. 모든 프로그램과 이벤트는 이 온라인 공간인 인스타그램에서부터 출발합니다. 정기적으로 소개되는 동시대 작가들의 전시, 그리고 자유롭게 비정기적으로 열릴 포럼을 중심으로, 예술이 가진 창의성이 우리 삶에 어떤 긍정적인 역할을 할 수 있을지를 모색합니다. 예술작품을 경험함에 있어 물리적 공간에서의 작품과의 조우는 가장 중요한 요소입니다. 그러나 그 경험이 여러 상황들로 방해 받을 때, 온라인의 가상 공간은 하나의 대안으로 기능합니다. 네트쇼는 온라인이 단순히 물리적인 현실 속 전시를 대체하는 공간일지, 아니면 그것을 넘어서 새로운 예술의 생산과 수용의 경험을 가져올 수 있는 미래지향적 플랫폼이 될 수 있을지 실험해보려 합니다. 따라서 기존 전시공간을 염두에 두고 준비된 작품들을 단순히 온라인에서 소개하거나, ‘작품들이 전시되어 있는 상태를’ 온라인에서 그대로 재현하는 방식에서 벗어나려 합니다. 역으로, 온라인 전시와 연계된 이벤트로 현장 전시가 기획되기도 합니다.
온라인과 오프라인 이중 공간에서 시간차를 두고 열리게 되는 이번 전시에서 지희킴은 기존의 드로잉과 회화 작업이 지닌 물질성과 신체적 행위의 흔적을 보여주는 동시에 자신의 기억과 상상이 작품화되는 과정을 텍스트와 이미지, 영상 등 복합적인 형태로 제시하고 있습니다. 갤러리 플래닛에서는 회화 작업과 습작들이 소개될 예정이며, 종료된 온라인 전시는 https://www.instagram.com/netshow_official/ 에서 계속해서 보실 수 있습니다.
Netshow is a yearly art project based on an online platform. All programs and events start from the online space, the official instagram of Netshow. Focusing on the exhibitions of contemporary artists and forums that are regularly introduced, we explore how the creativity of art plays a positive role in our lives.
It is important to experience the artworks in a real space; however, an online virtual space is an autonomous alternative space that can offer unlimited conditions in various circumstances. We are looking forward to developing this online platform as a future-oriented program that goes beyond an alternative space.
This exhibition will be held in both the online and offline spaces with a time difference. Ji Hee Kim will mainly show the materiality and traces of physical actions of the existing drawings and paintings. She presents the process of her memories and imagination turning into forms of text, word, image, and video.
